The surface of the casting will turn blue-grey after nitriding, and fractures may occur during the nitriding process, so nitriding is generally not recommended for castings. The surface of the three-dimensional welding platform of steel parts will turn black after nitriding, and it will look good and will not break. Platform chromium plating can only be used for steel parts. The surface of steel parts after three-dimensional welding platform chromium plating is shiny silver-white.
