The specifications of cast iron platforms are usually 200*300-3000*8000mm. If the specifications are larger than the above, the splicing form can be considered.
The principles of cast iron splicing platforms are as follows:
1. Ungrooved cast iron platform: consider the splicing method, the fewer pieces the better, this will have less impact on the accuracy after splicing;
2. Special-shaped cast iron platform specifications: Usually the platform is mainly rectangular. If a square is required, such as 5000*5000mm, you can consider splicing it into two rectangles, such as 2500*5000mm. The advantage of this is that the accuracy of the single-block platform is easy to control.
3. Slotted cast iron platform: Try to keep the slot spacing at the splicing part the same as the spacing between other slots after docking. If the slot spacing is required to be 300mm, 150mm can be left at each splicing place, so that the slot spacing after docking is still 300mm.
4. Cast iron platform with large load-bearing capacity: Bearing capacity is an important parameter of the cast iron platform. It is necessary to design the mechanism of each part according to the load-bearing capacity, and reasonable matching can ensure the stable performance of the cast iron platform.
Compared with the whole cast iron platform, the advantages of the multi-piece spliced cast iron platform are that it is easy to transport and process, and the structural performance of the cast iron platform is reduced; however, the multi-piece spliced cast iron platform is not as accurate as the overall cast iron platform.
